Dr. Neil Dobro is a certified specialist in Prosthodontics, the replacement of missing natural teeth.
After receiving his dental degree from Tufts University College of Dentistry, one of the top schools in the U.S., he completed another three years of postgraduate study. One year was an internship at the University of Chicago Zoller Dental Clinic, and two of those years were at The University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where he received certification as a Prosthodontist. This certification is the dental equivalent of a PhD in his field.
He was a clinical instructor for several years at the University of Illinois and at the University of Colorado. He has lectured both in the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Dobro was President of the Colorado Prosthodontic Society, and he is currently a Life Member of both The Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and The Academy of Operative Dentistry. Membership in these organizations is only by admission of their Boards of Censors. At the time of his admission to the Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, Dr. Dobro was the youngest member ever admitted. Dr. Dobro is a founding member of the New England ll Study Club of Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts and was the publisher of ProsthoFax, a newsletter to fellow dentists.
Since making aliyah to Israel in August 2018, Dr. Dobro has become a member of the prestigious Spear Dental Study Club and the Jerusalem Dental Forum. Dr. Dobro applied for his Israeli dental license and was granted it within 10 days.
Dr. Dobro lives in Efrat, Gush Etzion with his wife and two children: Mendel age 12 and Eliora age 11. They also have a lovable dog named Lyla. He has a Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, Korean Karate. He loves to spend his spare time with family and friends and studying the Torah.
